This is beyond upsetting. The Chinese government has begun the demolition of Tibet’s Capital and most Holy City, Lhasa. They are literally demolishing the most cherished thousand year old sacred sites in Tibet and replacing them with shopping malls and parking lots in in the name of tourism, modernization, and social stability. The world needs to see this. Whether you know it or not, Tibet is a vital place for the world, and so much good we know in this world would not be if it were not for the great compassion, practical wisdom, and vast spiritual knowledge that has disseminated from The Holy Land in Tibet and the people who live there. Imagine your favorite part of your city being torn to the ground, imagine all of your citiy’s native inhabitants being “evacuated” or forcefuly removed from business and home to be relocated to government housing…. thats what is really happening right now in the most peaceful and socially stable civilization that exits on this planet, and it is being done in the name of SOCIAL STABILIZATION!! when will the human race see that the consumerist way of life is leading to the destruction of not only the earth and her living environment, but also our vital spiritual connection? We as a race have cause so much harm to this planet it is time we recognize this and realize how much harm we are causing to ourselves. We need the Earth to live. I believe simple awareness of ourselves and our suffering is all we really need to begin the healing process … please everyone read some of this article, learn something about tibet, read something from the Dalai Lama or another tibetan and try to understand the significance of this event, but more importantly take some time to breathe deeply and self reflect you may not feel it yet but all of us contribute to the state of this planet together. It is up to each one of us individually to heal so that as a whole can live together in a way that happily coincides with everyones basic needs as human beings of body mind and spirit…

Im sorry for my rant but this was really shocking & upsetting for me to see and people need to see this too and understand where we are as a species right now. My heart goes out to the people of Tibet and I will meditate for peace on their behalf.
